Introducing two samples for Toyota Celica GT-Four (ST165), expecting delivery in June,

First is “Toyota Celica GT-Four (#2) 1990 Monte Carlo” Die-Cast Model from Mirage Brand.

It is Monte Carlo version driven by Carlos Sainz who got WRC champion in 1990 with Toyota Celica.

He competed with Didier Auriol of Lancia Delta 16V very hard and resulted second. The model is tarmac version equipped with wheel vanes and two spot lights.

Next is “Toyota Celica GT-Four (#4) 1990 1000 Lakes Die-Cast Model from Mirage Brand,

Carlos Sainz winning model at 1990 1000 Lakes Rally. The tobacco advertising is prohibited in this rally; therefore, there is no Tobacco related logo and open headlights model.

Both of them are excellent collection items for Celica fan. Please wait for delivery.

Toyota 2000GT Variation Sample,

We have received two variation samples of Toyota 2000GT. Several time passed since we announced, here is open top 2000GT that is well known as James Bond car of the 007 movie.

The deeper angle of front window is expressed beautiful body lines. There are no side view mirrors on this car. Special item of this car is wire spoke wheels. One wheel is built by five separate components including etching parts for spokes and aluminum rim. Metal parts are used for center locks for wheel hubs. We are trying to avoid being over the scale.

Scheduled release is June for this car.

Next is the model for the winner of 1967 “Fuji 24 hours race”. We re-produced precisely not only exterior, but also interior even though we have limited availability of information.

Scheduled release is July.

Please expect!

We traveled to take 3D scanning data for 1997 Nissan R390 GT1. We have not yet decided specific plan for this model. We would like to model this car as this car is one of the rivals of McLaren F1 that we made many varieties so far. We are planning to expand products of its category.

R391 is in behind. It is also fascinating vehicle.

Four models are introduced. Our McLaren F1 GTR Short Model is close to final variation model. It is difficult to choose the best collection model from many of variations; however, there is a hint to choose from. Please check carefully the differences of models including front lights section, rear wing, and rear garnish as well as body colors.

Introducing “Toyota 2000GT 1966 Speed Trial”,

We have modeled 1966 world record trial vehicles.

Before the sales start, Toyota challenged the world record with this 2000GT and they updated 13 international records including three world records after three days and nights of continuous high-speed running at Yatabe Automobile Test Course in October 1-4, even though they had experienced heavy rain by Typhoon in the middle of challenging.

The body was painted green and yellow. Toyota produced this car by modifying the prototype chassis with code number 280A/I Type Number 1. The basic silhouette is the same as production model of 2000Gt; however, there is no common shape in detail; therefore, we made new mold to make this model.

Rear view is quite different look from production model as it is equipped with smaller tail lumps. The rear fenders are expanded for big diameter tires.

Three heated air vent holes and anti-bug flap are equipped on the engine hood. The reason to use green color for engine hood is to protect driver’s eyes from sun shine.

Huge fuel tank is located inside of the rear gate. We try to re-produce precisely including electromagnetic pump by checking replica chassis and pictures at the time.

Here is two car set of trial model and early production model that is special ordered by Toyota Museum. Wooden base plate and limited name plated comes with it.

All the records that Toyota 2000 made were updated by Porsche in October 1967 (one year later). Porsche might be the most influenced company by this Toyota’s achievement. It was excellent promotion for 2000GT debut. We will release this model soon. Please expect!

Continue form Part 1 of New Product Information Release, 2012 March,

We made re-manufactured “Mazda 787B 1991 (#55) Winner” after six years from first production. For this model, we have made mold maintenance one time before and released JSPC model. After that we have received multiple times requests of re-manufacture of this model from customer. We finally have made decision to make this model again. We made cost down even if we modified almost all of the front section. We will release from Mirage brand as the production quantity is not high and to make easy to identify from original model released by hpi brand. Note: An old model is showing in picture.

We improved details of some parts including, using etching parts for towing hook and metal parts on the end of rear cowl. In addition we changed to stamp from paint for some parts of rear cowl to make thinner and sharp look.

11. #8586 Mazda 787B (#55) 1991 Le Mans -2012 June Delivery from Mirage (Die-Cast Model)

Below is the picture with plastic case. The rear cowl is hold by blister pack. We use gold color plate to celebrate the winner!

Here is a sleeve for package. We printed the picture for pit work at the time.

This model will start delivery in June, 2012. Please expect!

Here is TS010 car number 8 participated to 1992 Le Mans from Team Tom’s. Drivers were Jan Lammers, Andy Wallace, and Teo Fabi and they finished 8th. The special features of this model are dual step wings and rear wheel covers.

2. #8583 Toyota TS010 1993 Test car Sugo -2012 August Delivery form Mirage Brand

This is a test vehicle that Team Tom’s tested at Sugo in 23-24 March, 1993 with drivers Eddie Irvine, Toshio Suzuki and Masanori Sekiya. Single step wing that was not used for actual race is a special feature of this vehicle. Enjoy the low profile body that was not used in actual race.

3. #8564 Toyota TS010 (#33) 1992 Le Mans -2012 November Delivery

Here is another TS010 car number 33 participated to 1992 Le Mans from Team Tom’s. Drivers were Pierre Henri Raphanel, Andy Wallace, and Masanori Sekiya and they finished 2nd on the podium. The special features of this model are dual step wings and rear wheel covers.

Tommi Mäkinen started full WRC entry as one of the factory drivers of Mitsubishi Rally Art team in 1995 after spot entries of WRC in previous year. We have modeled car number 11 for Tommi Mäkinen and 12 for Andrea Aghini from season opening Monte Carlo rally in 1995. Mäkinen finished 4th and Aghini finished 6th at this rally. Tommi Mäkinen promoted as first driver of Mitsubishi factory team after this season and he had achieved WRC champion four straight years from next year. Tommi Mäkinen model has been equipped with four light pods and two spotlights. We made different specification between two models. These are tarmac models with low ride height.

Evolution II was produced in 5,000 limited and released January, 1994 with an improved version of the Evolution model. Evolution II has Front air-spoiler, rear wing wicker, OZ Crono wheels and 260ps engine with 10ps increased power over Evolution I. We have made two times 3D scanning to re-produce the feature of actual car in detail.

8. #8292 Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16V (#5) 1989 Sanremo -2012 July Delivery from Mirage (Die-Cast Model)

We have modeled car number 5 driven by Didier Auriol for WRC round 11, San Remo in 1989. It was the 16V debut race in WRC and Didier Auriol and Massimo Biasion made entry from Lancia factory team with red Martini color cars; however, both of them are out of race in early stage by off the track. It is a gravel specification.

9. #8592 Nissan Skyline GT-R (#1) 1991 Bathurst 1000 -2012 October Delivery form Mirage (Die-Cast Model)

R32 GT-R made winning at Bathurst 1000 in Australia 1991 after finished 18 by problem in previous year. We have re-produced the difference in detail with Japanese race version including side exhaust and wheels.

10. #8588 Saurus Champ GT-R Nismo (#32) 1991 JTC -2012 July Delivery from Mirage (Die-Cast Model)

This is R32 GT-R with car number 32 for JTC (all Japan Touring Car Race) round 4 in 1991. Eiji Yamada and Tatsuharu Okitomo drove and finished force. East and West Japan champion of Nissan Saurus cup drove and they participated to two races in 1991. We have modeled rare projector headlamp version.

There are 10 new products in total.
